About ConvertQBO

ConvertQBO started with a simple, recurring problem: banks export transactions as CSV, Excel or PDF, while QuickBooks Desktop wants a .qbo Web Connect file and bank feeds often disconnect or only pull a limited history. Bookkeepers end up retyping statements or uploading client bank data to random websites.

How our converters work

The free converters run entirely in your web browser. When you drop a file, JavaScript on the page reads it, detects the columns and writes the new file on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no copy of your statements on our side to leak, sell or lose.

Generated QBO, QFX and OFX files follow the OFX 1.02 specification used by QuickBooks and Quicken Web Connect: bank and credit card statement blocks, a stable transaction ID (FITID) for every row, and payee names trimmed to the 32-character limit.

What is next

We are building ConvertQBO Pro for bookkeepers: PDF bank statement extraction with balance checks, batch conversion and IIF export. Join the waitlist to shape it.

Editorial policy for guides

Our guides are written and tested by the ConvertQBO team against current QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop menus. When Intuit changes a screen we update the guide and its “Updated” date.
